Writing with the WOW factor!

Children's writer Cathy Lewis inspired our WOW volunteers to write creatively at a new workshop.

When children's writer, Cathy Lewis came to the British Waterways office, she encouraged everyone to go and read Horrible Histories and First News.

At this special training course, participants were encouraged to look at writing for children and have a go at writing themselves. In a full day event, the course looked at ideas for writing, how to 'hook' the reader and some top tips for writing effectively.
