Waterways for Growth

Most people think canals and rivers are all about boats - but did you know that the water is also used to heat buildings?

Water from some canals and rivers are used to heat or cool down canal side building. The new Waterways for Growth animation looks at the many ways canals and rivers make all of our lives better. The film was made by a group of European organisations who are looking at how waterways are cared for now and in the future - so that we can all benefit from them.
