Makeover at Standedge Tunnel

Standedge visitor centre has had a makeover turning an unused corner into a child friendly haven

July 2010 When the WOW team spotted an unused section of the visitor centre at Standedge Tunnel they came up with a plan! After a bit of love and attention the area has a new lease of life in the form of a kids play area. The area is open to the public when the visitor centre is and provides a great place to stop and be creative. Look out for kids events running in this area during school holidays and on weekends.
