Volunteer open day

Ever thought of volunteering? Why not come along to our open day and see what it is all about?

Volunteering can be a rewarding experience that offers the opportunity to work with new people, gain new skills, use existing skills and give something back to your local area. On August 7th and 8th 2010 the Anderton Boat Lift and The Standedge Tunnel are giving you the opportunity to find out more about volunteering. If you fancy giving volunteering a go, this day provides the chance to find out more about becoming part of the team as well as offering taster sessions in the kinds of activities you could be involved in. Volunteering opportunties at the two centres include education positions, being involved in family events as well as working in the shop, cafe or even in the grounds.
