IWA National Waterways Festival & Boat Show

29 August 2009 to 31 August 2009

Come to the National Waterways Festival & Boat Show for a fantastic three day celebration of the waterways, with hundreds of boats and exhibitors of all kinds.

With 130 visiting boats already booked in, the moorings promise to be a great spectacle and trips boats will be offering visitors the chance to “get afloat” on the river.

A falconry display has already been booked and the handlers will also be walking the site with these lovely birds, enabling visitors to see them up close. Several of them are famous already, having appeared in the Harry Potter films.

A full programme of entertainment is planned including arena events, a circus, live music and dancing, as well as loads of things for the children to do. The celebrated real ale bars will be back with up to 50 different speciality beers, and there will also be a wide variety of food outlets catering for every taste.

There will be a dedicated camping area for tents, caravans and motorhomes so why not make a weekend out of it - everyone is welcome.

Tickets are £6.50 if paid for in advance, or £7.50 on the day, children under 16 get in free and there are kids activities available. Advance ticket purchasers have the opportunity of entering a free prize draw to win a boating holiday, kindly donated by UK Boat Hire.
