Goytre Wharf

It’s a magical site!

A popular attraction covering 8 acres, and comprising a visitor centre, aqueduct, restored limekilns and weighing machine cottage. Other features include interactive interpretation, a brass rubbings trail and a literacy sculpture trail. In addition there is a busy marina, slipways, canoe and boat hire, a restaurant, picnic area and children’s slide. Explore the canal, woodland and industrial heritage of the area by following one of the many trails. An ideal place for a family visit.

Goytre Wharf is an ideal location for educational trips. You can explore the area with the Goytre Wharf Literacy Trail - a Forest Education Initiative produced by the Forestry Commission of Wales. Find out more about story telling, shelter building and the other activities of the Trail here.
